Grand Concert hall  Oktyabrsky The Oktyabrsky concert hall in Saint Petersburg is one of the main concert halls of the city. There are held performances of the most famous Russian artists and artists from other countries in the concert hall. Prior to 1980, the Grand Concert Hall "Oktyabrsky" was the biggest and the best concert hall of St. Petersburg.

On the stage of the concert hall, there were held performances of the Bolshoi, Mariinsky and Mikhailovsky theaters. There were held concerts of such famous artists as Duke Ellington, Elton John, Mstislav Rostropovich, Sviatoslav Richter, Alfred Schnittke, Dave Brubeck, Maurice Bejart, Antonio Gades, Charles Aznavour, Salvatore Adamo, Cliff Richard, Leonid Utesov, Claudia Shulzhenko, Lyudmila Zykina, Gina Lollobrigida, Andrei Voznesensky, Yevgeny Yevtushenko and many other famous artists.

There are held events, which will be interesting for spectators of different ages and with different interests. The Concert Hall is the venue for both classical and contemporary popular music. You can see performances designed for young people and for older viewers on the stage of the concert hall. The Grand Concert Hall "Oktyabrsky" is located in the central part of St. Petersburg, close to Nevsky Prospekt and Vosstaniya Square.

Concert Hall "Octyabrsky" was built in 1967. The Greek church was at this place before 1961 (year of construction 1861). Currently, it is one of the most popular venues for concert in the city. The Big Concert Hall "Octyabrsky" is visited by about a million viewers per year.
