The Acropolis in the Lindos village is one of the most famous tourist attractions on the Rhodes Island. Remains of the ancient acropolis are located the on a small rocky hill on Mediterranean Sea coast. Acropolis of Lindos is older than the famous Acropolis in Athens. Even the great Alexander of Macedon made a “tourist trip” here before his going to the Asia. At the foot of the hill is a small village. Its white houses are seen in the photo. Near is situated a beach.

Photo was taken during a holiday on the island of Rhodes (Greece).

See location of attractions and places of interest on the map of the Rhodes island.
