The “Orangery” fountain is located in the western part of the “Lower Park” of Peterhof. In the center of the fountain is covered with gold “Triton tearing the jaws of a sea monster” sculpture. The fountain was made in 1726. Like a “Samson” fountain it was reminded of the victory over the Sweden army in the Great Northern War between Sweden and Russia (1700–1721). The fountain was restored according to drawings in the second half of the 20-th century.
