The Finnish National Opera house is located in central Helsinki, at the intersection of Helsinginkatu and Mannerheimintie streets, on Töölönlahti bay in Töölö district. In the Opera House are two halls. There is also a ballet school. Opera House was opened in 1993. The Opera House features two auditoriums, the main auditorium with 1,350, seats and a smaller studio auditorium with 300-500 seats.

The Finnish National Opera is an opera and ballet company. There are about 300 performances each year in the Finnish National Opera. The repertoire in any given season includes on average 15 operas and 9 ballets.
