The sculpture of the most famous sculpture and fountainin Havis Amandathe in Helsinki. The sculpture is situated between the Esplanade Park and Market Square of Helsinki. There are always lots of tourists and Helsinki residents like to walk here. Not far from the Havis Amanda sculpture are placed passenger of Helsinki port terminals. Not far from this place are a lot of attractions. Shopping Centre Forum and Stockmann department store is also located near this place.
Since May 2023, Havis Amanda has been under renovation. The repair of the pool and statue is estimated to last until August 2024.
The author of the sculpture is Ville Vallgren. The sculpture was installed in its place in 1908.
With Havis Amanda statue is related a known tradition. Every year on April 30 an university students dressed on Amanda's head white student cap.
