“Kiek in de Kok” tower is located in the south-western part of the Old Town in Tallinn. This is one of the most famous towers in the city. It is often called the most powerful tower (however “Fat Margaret” tower looks much more impressive). The tower “Kiek in de Kok” is 49,4 meters high. Its diameter is 17.3 meters, the thickness of the walls of the tower up to 4 meters.

The tower was built between 1475 to 1483 years. Later, the tower was rebuilt, including increasing its height. Over the years, the tower had to participate in a real battle.

At present, there is museum the tower. Museum offer guided tours through the underground passages of Tallinn's fortifications (by appointment).
Tourists can easily find the tower bypassing the Old Town from the south side (near Freedom Square).
