Castel Sismondo is located in Rimini, Romagna, northern Italy. Castel Sigismondo construction began May 20, 1437 at 18:48. Foundation time was decided by Sigismund on the basis of the calculations carried out with precision by the court astrologers. It was built by order of Sigismondo Pandolfo Malatesta as a fortress and palace at the same time.

The castle is now used as venue for exhibitions.

The photo was taken during a tourist trip to Italy in February 2013.
