Russia - EU. Is it possible to travel without a visa?

Russia seeks a long time to achieve for visa-free travel for Russian citizens traveling to Europe. Today, the Russian media published information that the visa will be canceled no later than 2015. After the abolition of visas for Russian citizens will be able to travel more often to many European countries, and the inhabitants of these European countries will be able to freely travel to Russia.

Possible cancellation of visas has both supporters and opponents in Europe. For example, residents of border areas of Finland do not want more tourists from Russia to visit. They are against the abolition of visas. EU countries also impose a number of requirements that must be done: document security, the introduction of biometric passports, the fight against illegal immigration and more. It is possible that after the implementation of these requirements will put forward new.

In this approach, an agreement on visa will not be achieved. It's too early optimistic about the possibility of visas canceling.

In my opinion, Russia should introduce visa-free entry for citizens of neighboring countries unilaterally. That would be useful.
