Gothic Quarter

The “Gothic Quarter” is the center of the old city of Barcelona. Quarter starts from Catalonia Square (Plaça de Catalunya) and stretches to the sea coast, between “La Rambla” and “Via Laietana” streets.

“Sagrada Familia” temple

Barcelona Cathedral

“Cathedral of the Holy Cross and Saint Eulalia” is the main cathedral of Barcelona. The cathedral is located in the Gothic quarter of the city.

Catalonia square

“Plaza Catalunya” square (Catalonia square) is one of the central squares of the city. One of the most famous streets of Barcelona laid from the square to the sea – “La Rambla”.

La Rambla

“La Rambla” is popular with tourists and local residents’ street in the center of Barcelona. It laid from “Plaça Catalunya” square to “Plaça Portal de la Pau” square (it is near the port of Barcelona). There is the so-called “Gothic quarter” (Old city) to east of the street.

Santa Maria del Pi

”Santa Maria del Pi” is XIV century Gothic cathedral in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. The cathedral is located in the “Plaza del Pi” in the “Gothic Quarter” of Barcelona.

Tibidabo Mountain

Tibidabo Mountain is a popular place with tourist in Barcelona. Park with tower and amusements is located on the slopes of Mount Tibidabo. “Temple of the Sacred Heart” is on top of the mountain. It is nice overlooking the city from the mountain.

Casa Mila

Casa Mila (La Pedrera) house was built in 1906-1910 years in Barcelona by architect Antoni Gaudi. This is one of the attractions of the Catalan capital. The house has original architecture. Not all local residents are excited about this work of the famous architect.

Columbus Monument

Monument is situated on the place where Columbus returned from his first voyage to America. Tall column located in the center of the square.

National Art Museum of Catalonia

National Art Museum of Catalonia is located in the building of the National Palace (Palau Nacional), built for the World Fair in 1929 at the foot of Montjuic. Their collection has approximately 236,000 works of art.

Picasso Museum

Picasso Museum's collection is storing mostly early works the artist created between 1895 and 1904. There is not the most famous Picasso cubist paintings shown in the museu. It is the most visited museum in Barcelona.

Museum of Modern Art

Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art (MACBA) specializes in Catalan and Spanish art period after 1945.

“CosmoCaixa” is Science Museum in Barcelona, Spain. CosmoCaixa museum hosts permanent and temporary exhibitions. There is also a planetarium in the museum.

The Centre Comercial Maremàgnum is a large shopping center near the port and the city center. It is a popular place for shopping, laisure and entertainment. There are located shops, cafes, restaurants, a cinema, an aquarium.

Les Glòries

”Les Glòries” shopping mall hosts more than 200 shops, a cinema, bars and restaurants. The nearest metro station is “Glòries”.

La Roca Village

“La Roca Village” is one of the largest outlets in Spain. It is located about 40 kilometers from the city of Barcelona. It is possible to get to “La Roca Village” by bus.

Boqueria Market

”Boqueria” market place, also known as San Josep, is the most famous with tourists market in Barcelona. It is located in the city center. Entrance to the market place is from the “La Ramblas” street.
