TsUM - Central Universal Department Store in Moscow

TsUM (Central Universal Department Store, ЦУМ) is one of the most famous stores in Moscow. TsUM shopping mall located in the heart of Moscow, close to Bolshoi Theatre, on the corner of Petrovka Street and “Teatralnaya” Square. At the TsUM shopping mall is possible to buy the most fashionable clothes, shoes and accessories made by world's most famous designers and manufacturers. There is also a supermarket “TsUM Globus Gourmet”.

Shop traces its history from a trading company “Muir and Meriliz”, which was founded in 1857 by businessmen Andrew Muir and Archibald Meryl. Modern store building was built in 1908. Shop was popular among the wealthy residents of the Russian capital since its founding. During the Soviet era, it was one of the most famous department stores in Moscow.

Near shopping center are located: Bolshoi Theatre, Maly Theatre, Historical Museum, Red Square, Moscow Kremlin, New Manege Exhibition Hall, Metropol Hotel.
