Krasnopresnenskaya and Barricadnaya metro stations in Moscow are located at the intersection of the streets of Presnya, Barricadnaya, Bolshaya Gruzinskaya and Konyushkovskaya, approximately 2.5 kilometers to west of the city center (Kremlin and Red Square). Krasnopresnenskaya metro station is located on the Koltsevaya line, and Barricadnaya on Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya metro line of the Moscow Metro. Ground station halls are located at a distance of about 250 meters apart.
Krasnopresnenskaya metro station
The Krasnopresnenskaya station is located on Koltsevaya line (Circle Line) of the Moscow Metro, between stations "Kievskaya" and "Belorusskaya". The station was opened in 1954.
The station has a pavilion, built in the shape of a rotunda (round-shaped building). The pavilion is located at the intersection of Krasnaya Presnya and Konyushovskaya streets.
The station decorating theme is the revolutionary movement of 1905 and 1917 years in the Russian Empire.
Transition to the station "Barricadnaya" is in the end of the central hall.
Metro Station Barricadnaya
The metro station Barricadnaya is located on Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya of Moscow Metro line (Violet Metro Line) between stations "Ulitsa 1905 goda" and "Pushkinskaya". The station was opened on 30 December 1972. At the west end of the station central hall is the escalator that leads to the station "Krasnopresnenskaya" of Koltsevaya line. Ground lobby station is located just off Barricadnaya. There is also a gateway to the Moscow Zoo.
