“Oktyabrskaya” metro station (станция метро Октябрьская) in Moscow is located on the Kaluzhskaya square, at the intersection of “Leninsky Prospect”, “Krymsky Val” and “Bolshaya Yakimanka” streets. The station is located at a distance approximately 2.8 kilometers to south of the city center (Kremlin and Red Square). There are two metro stations Oktyabrskaya: on the Moscow metro “Koltsevaya” Line and the Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya line. Stations are connected with transition (interchange node). Ground stations halls are located at a distance of about 230 meters apart.
“Oktyabrskaya” station Circle Line
“Oktyabrskaya” station of the Moscow metro “Koltsevaya” Line (Circle line, Line 5, brown line) is located between stations “Dobryninskaya” and “Park Kultury”. The station opened in 1950. Until June 6, 1961 it was called “Kaluzhskaya”. The station is located at depth about 40 meters.
The station has a ground entrance hall, built in the building of the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys. The lobby has access to the Kaluzhskaya square, on the corner of the “Krimsky Val” and “Leninsky Prospekt” streets. In the design of the station used the theme of the Soviet Union in World War II.
The station has transition to the same name station of Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya line.
“Oktyabrskaya” station of Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya line
“Oktyabrskaya” station of Moscow Metro Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya line (line 6, the orange line) is located between the stations “Tretyakovskaya” and “Shabolovskaya”.
The station was opened October 13, 1962. The station has a ground entrance hall with access to the street “Bolshaya Yakimanka”, near the Kaluzhskaya square.
You can go to the “Oktyabrskaya” station of subway Circle Line. Transition is located in the southern end of the station hall.
