Metro stations “Ploshchad Ilyicha” and “Rimskaya” in Moscow are located to east of the city center, at the intersection streets “Prospect Enthusiastov”, "Sergiy Radonezhskogo” and “Rogozhsky Val”. The distance to the city center (Kremlin and Red Square) is approximately 4 kilometers. The station “Ploshchad Ilyicha” is located on Kalininsko-Solntsevskaya line and “Rimskaya” station on the Lublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line of the Moscow metro.

Metro station “Ploshchad Ilyicha”

Metro Station “Ploshchad Ilyicha” (станция метро Площадь Ильича) is located on Kalininsko-Solntsevskaya Moscow subway line (line 8, indicated in yellow) between stations “Aviamotornaya” and “Marxistskaya”. The station was opened on 30 December 1979. Located adjacent “Rogozhskaya Zastava” square while was called “Ploshchad Ilyicha”. This explains the choice of the station name. On the central hall end wall is bust of Lenin. (In Soviet times Iyich word was indirectly referring to Vladimir Ilyich Lenin).

The station has an exit through an underground entrance hall to the “Rogozhskaya Zastava” square and adjacent streets. In the hall center is the transition to the station “Rimskaya”.

Metro Station “Rimskaya”

Metro Station “Rimskaya” (станция метро Римская, Rome) is located on the Lublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line of the Moscow Metro, between stations “Chkalovskaya” and “Krest’yanskaya Zastava”. The station was opened on 28 December 1995. Theme stations design theme is sights of Rome. In the station designing were attended Italian architects Imbrigi and Kuatrochchi. There is a sculpture that depicts infants Romulus and Remus (founders of Rome, according to legend) in the hall of the station.

The station has access to the “Rogozhskaya Zastava” square and adjacent streets. It is possible to go to the station “Ploshchad Ilyicha” of Kalininsko-Solntsevskaya line. Passage is located in the northern end of the central hall.
