Izmailovo is a former royal mansion built in the second half of the XVII century in the east of Moscow near Serebryanka river. Currently, "Izmailovo" is part of the Moscow State Integrated Art and Historical, Architectural and Natural Landscape Museum-Reserve. It is located on a small artificial island. The island has several interesting historical architectural attractions.
Izmailovo Park and Museum is located at a distance approximately 10 kilometers to north-east of the city center (Kremlin, and Red Square). Distance from Moscow Ring Road is approximately 5 km. The length of the island from east to west is about 800 meters and from north to south about 400 meters.
Izmailovo is a family estate of the Romanov boyars. The manor was presented to the representative of the dynasty by Tsar Ivan the Terrible. The village passed to the state, becoming the country estate of the royal family in 1654. In 1664 - 1691's manor house was rebuilt. A pond was created around the manor. Manor was on an artificial island now. The future tsar Peter I learned the basics of seafaring at this pond.
Some old buildings retains at Izmailovo Island: Bridge Tower (1671-1679), St. Basil's Cathedral (1671-1679), the front and back entrance gates (1679-1682).

Kremlin in Izmailovo
The Kremlin in Izmailovo is a cultural and entertainment complex, located on the western shore of Serebryano-Vinogradny Pond, next to the Izmailovo manor.
