Tsaritsyno

Tsaritsyno is a large park, in which architectural landmarks and museums are located. There are a palace, greenhouses, ponds, music fountain and other objects located in the park. Museum Reserve covers an area about 400 hectares.

The royal residence Tsaritsino was founded by order of Empress Catherine II in 1776. The palace was built in the style of so-called "Russian Gothic" (pseudo Gothic). The palace and other not had been used buildings for many years. Currently, there are exhibitions and other events held in the palace and park. The park is a popular place for walking in good weather. Concerts of classical and contemporary music are held in the halls of the Grand Palace and in the park (in summer). "Tsaritsyno" is also a venue for music festivals.
