Shopping center "Gostiny Dvor" (Гостиный Двор) is the oldest shopping center in Saint Petersburg. It is located in the heart of the city on main city street "Nevsky Prospekt".
In the shopping center are saling products of more than 3000 companies and 170 thousand species of various goods. Over 300000 customers make purchase in the shopping center every day. The total area of all stores located here is 13 thousand m². Total buildings area is 78 000 m².

Construction of shopping complex was begun in 1761 and was completed in 1785. Shopping center "Gostiny Dvor" for long time was the largest department store in Saint Petersburg. The building is owned by the Ministry of Culture. It is under UNESCO protection.
