Antalya Airport - information for tourists

There are several airports near the Mediterranean coast in Turkey. Most tourists arrive on the Mediterranean coast of Turkey through Antalya Airport. During the holiday season, the airport receives a large number of flights from many European countries.

Antalya International Airport (Antalya Havalimanı; IATA: AYT) is located approximately 13 kilometers (8 miles) east of the center of Antalya. Most tourists traveling to the Mediterranean coast of Turkey arrive through this airport. The airport serves tourists going on vacation to such popular resort cities as Antalya, Alanya, Kemer, Belek, Side.
Gazipasa Airport is also located on the Mediterranean coast, near the city of Alanya. Bodrum and Dalaman airports serve tourists heading to the resorts of the Aegean Sea.

You can see the airport location of on the map of Turkey.

The airport has three terminals. Two terminals serve international flights and one terminal serves domestic flights.

  • International Terminal No. 1 is located next to the Domestic flights terminal. Passengers can walk from one terminal to another. International Terminal 2 is located about 2.5 kilometers from these terminals.
  • At the airport, there is also a VIP service terminal, which is located next to Terminal 1.

How to get there

You can get from the airport to Antalya by tram, bus or taxi. To get to other cities on the coast, you will have to take a bus.

Antalya Light Rail - AntRay (Antalya Railway) is (probably) the most convenient form of transport if you need to get from Antalya Airport to the city center or bus station. The İsmetpaşa tram stop is located approximately 700 meters from the embankment.
If you are traveling from the city center to the airport, take route T1A. The tram arrives at Terminal 1 (Havalimanı station). If you need Terminal 2, you can continue your journey by bus or take the bus initially.

Tram operating hours are from approximately 6:00 until midnight.

There are bus routes that connect the airport with different areas of the city.

Bus route 800 runs between Antalya Airport and Lara area. (The Lara area is slightly east of the airport.)

City bus route 600 runs between the airport and the bus terminal at night, passing through the city center. The bus stops near all three airport terminals.

The cost of public transport (single ticket) was about 15 Turkish lira (2024). (Some routes may cost more to travel.) Prices may change at any time.

You cannot pay for travel in cash on public transport. You will need a bank card with contactless payment function or an Antalyakart transport card.
The Antalyakart smartphone app will help you navigate Antalya public transport routes.

If you need to get to other cities (Kemer, Side, Alanya), then you (most likely) will have to first get to the bus station by tram, and then buy a ticket for the bus route you need.

Antalya Bus Terminal (Otogar) is located about 4 kilometers (2.5 miles) northwest of the city center. Buses depart to many locations from the bus station, including Alanya and Side.
The bus station can be reached by the AntRay Tram or by bus from the city center.

Taxi is the most convenient mode of transport for vacationing tourists. Large suitcases make it difficult to travel by public transport. The taxi is also convenient for passengers with children.

There are taxi stands in all airport terminals. You can also book a taxi 🚕 even before departure from your city, online.

🚗 At the airport there are also several companies offering a car rental service.
