Free walking tours

There are free walking tours in Stockholm in English.

  • The Free Tour City start at Old Town. Free Tour Stockholm City start every day at 10.00 AM and last 2 hours. Meeting Point is outside the subway station at Gamla stan. This tour ends at the beginning of the Ceremony Change of the Guard.
  • Free Walking Tour in Stockholm Old Town starts at 13:00 every day. Meeting Point is outside the metro station at Gamla Stan.

Brazilian Carnival in Stockholm

Culture Night in Stockholm

Date: April 18, 2020.
Kulturnatt Stockholm - (Stockholm Culture Night). Art of all kinds will be presented in many places in Stockholm.

Walpurgis Night

April 31 - May 1, 2020.
Walpurgis Night, or Valborgsmässoafton, is one of the major spring festivals in Stockholm. It is a celebration of spring meeting. During a holiday in Skansen will be held parade, concerts and dance performances. Festivities take place all day and continue the evening and at night by firelight. Full program can withstand only the youth. Perhaps the most noisy and cheerful festival in Sweden .

Stockholm Marathon

Dates: May 30, 2020.
In recent years it has become popular to organize marathon run in many cities of the world. First marathon run was held in Stockholm in 1979. In Stockholm Marathon (ASICS Stockholm Marathon) will take part athletes and running fans from many countries. Marathon finish is located at the Olympic Stadium (Stockholm Stadium). Sweden Day

June 6, 2021.
Sweden Day is celebrated on the open-air museum Skansen in a big way. On this day in Skansen also arrive royal family of Sweden. Festivities will be held in other parts of the city.
June 6, 1523 was crowned Gustav Vaasa, the first king of Sweden. From this day Sweden became a fully independent state. On this day in 1809 a constitution was adopted in Sweden. “Baltic Sea Festival” is opera and classic music festival in Stockholm. Best opera will be performed by best singers. Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra and Choir take part at the festival. The festival was organized in 2003 on the initiative of Michael Tydén, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Valery Gergiev.

Stockholm Music & Arts Festival

Dates: August 2020.

It is music and Art Festival in Stockholm (Stockholm Music & Arts). Festival guests can enjoy great music, food, drinks, socializing.
Visitors under 13 years old are not permitted on the festival in accordance with the requirements of the law. The consumption of alcohol is permitted only for visitors over 18 years.

Biennale of Contemporary Art in Gothenburg
Dates: June 5; September 11 - November 21, 2021.

The 11th Gothenburg International Art Biennale (2021) is held in the year of the 400th anniversary of Gothenburg. Therefore, the Biennale consists of two parts.
The first part will open at Röda Sten Konsthall on June 5, 2021.
The second part will open on 11 September in collaboration with the Art Gallery and other locations in the city. All exhibition areas can be visited until November 21.
Biennale of Contemporary Art in Gothenburg (Sweden) is held once in two years. (Göteborg International Biennial for Contemporary Art). The festival is held since 2001. Curator of the festival in 2019 and 2021 is Lisa Rosendahl. Venue: Röda Sten Konsthall and other sites in the city.

Art exhibition "Affordable Art Fair Stockholm"

Dog Show in Stockholm

Sweden's largest dog show is held in the exhibition center of Stockholm (Stockholm International Fairs). Goteborg International Film Festival

Dates: January 29 - February 02, 2021.
International Film Festival in Gothenburg (Göteborg International Film Festival) is one of the most famous festivals in Scandinavia.
