Spring Festival in Munich
Frühlingsfest (Spring Festival) is very popular with locals and tourists event. It is held in Munich near Theresienwiese annually. The famous Oktoberfest is held at the same place in the autumn. "Dult" fair in Munich

Traditional Dult fairs (Auer Dult) are held in Munich three times a year. Fair is organized by the Committee for Tourism of Munich and held on the square located near Mariahilfplatz Au.
The Fair history begins in the Middle Ages. The holiday lasts for nine days. It is relatively quiet place on weekdays fair territory. On weekends, the area is filled with a lot of people, both locals and tourists. You can walk in your spare time here, eat and have a good time. At the fair are selling glassware, porcelain, wax, cloth and antique goods.

Carnival of Cultures in Berlin

Kiel Sea Festival

Kiel Week (Kieler Woche) is big sailing festival in Kiel city, Germany. Sea Festival in Kiel is not only a sporting event, but also a great summer festival. Regatta is one of the major Kiel Week sporting events. It is one of the most famous sailing races in the world. Music festival and parade of vintage vehicles are also held at these days.
Facts about the festival "Kieler Woche": 5000 participants, 50 countries, 2000 yachts, boats and other flotation devices. During the nine days of the festival takes place about 2,000 different events. Up to three million people from different countries attend the festival every year.
Parade of ships Windjammerparade is the main event of the festival. The parade takes place on the second Saturday of the festival (beginning at 11:00). Hundreds of beautiful sailing ships will be in the Kiel Fjord waters for several hours. Places on the coast better take in advance. Parade of ships can be clearly seen in many places: on the waterfront, on the beaches (Heikendorf, Kitzeberg), the lighthouse Holtenau.

Carnivals in Germany
Carnivals are held every year in many cities of Germany. This is a significant event for the locals. Festivals, street parades and costume balls are organized during Carnival season. Officially preparation for the carnival begins on November 11. In fact, carnival celebrations held 40 days before Easter until the beginning of Lent.
The celebration begins with the "Carnival of Women" on Thursday (Weiberfastnacht). On this day, the Lady can kiss any man. Carnival parade is culmination of the festival and it is held on Monday (Rosenmontag). Bands, dancers, townspeople in carnival costumes will be on city streets. The next day is celebrated mostly by children. The festival ends on Wednesday (Aschermittwoch). The best and most colorful carnivals will be held in Cologne, Dusseldorf, Munich.
