Theme parks

Orlando is often called as the world capital of theme parks. There are several of the most visited theme parks of the World in the city and next to it (7 of the 10 most visited theme parks in North America). Most of the main attractions are located along the International Drive (except Walt Disney World).

Beaches

Florida is famous not only for its amusement parks, but also for beautiful beaches and a warm climate. The distance to the sea shore from Orlando is approximately 60 miles.

Daytona Beach and Cocoa Beach are the nearest beaches on the east coast. The distance to the Cocoa Beach and to the Daytona Beach is about 60 miles. You can drive to these beaches by car in about an hour.

The nearest beaches on the west coast of Florida (the Gulf of Mexico) are Treasure Island (near the city of St. Petersburg) and Clearwater Beach (near Near Tampa). The distance to these beaches from Orlando is approximately 110 miles.
