Monument to victims of the bombing of San Marino. The monument is located near the cable car station. The sculpture depicts a young woman who is trying to save herself and her child from the bombs. Inscription on the monument: “Monumento alle vittime del bombardamento a giugno, 26th, 1944. San Marino”.

June 26, 1944 Air Force of Great Britain bombed San Marino. At Mount Titano were dropped 263 bombs. The bombing killed 63 civilians.

San Marino is a small country located on the Italy territory.
