Belorussky railway station

Belorussky Railway Station (“Belorussky Rail Terminal”, Белорусский вокзал) is one of nine railway stations of Moscow, passenger terminal of Moscow-Passenger-Smolenskaya station. Belorussky Railway Station serves the long-distance trains to west and south-western regions of Russia as well as international trains. Belorussky station is connected to Sheremetyevo Airport by Aeroexpress trains.

The station serves trains, connecting Russia with Belarus, Lithuania, Poland, countries of central and Eastern Europe (Germany, France, Switzerland, Italy and others). “Belorussky Voksal” station offers direct connections from Moscow to many major cities of Europe. The station trains operates trains departing to (arriving from) of the cities of Anapa, Novosibirsk, Arkhangelsk, Kaliningrad, Berlin, Brest, Nice, Warsaw, Vilnius, Gomel, Grodno, Geneva, Cologne, Copenhagen, Madrid, Minsk, Mogilev, Paris. The station also serves local commuter trains.

The station was originally built to serve trains of the Moscow-Smolensk railway. Construction of the station was launched in 1869. It was opened in 1870 and rebuilt in its current form in 1907 - 1912. Ceremonial opening the Moscow-Smolensk railway took place on Sept. 19, 1870. The station get “Brestsky Voksal” name in November 1871, following the road extension to Brest. The station had different names in the past: Smolensky, Aleksandrovsky, Brestskiy.

The Belorussky station (Белорусский вокзал) is located approximately 3.5 kilometers northwest of the Kremlin and Red Square in Moscow. The station building is located on "Tverskaya Zastava" square, between the streets 1-ya Tverskaya-Yamskaya and the Leningradsky prospekt.

Aeroexpress

Aeroexpress is a service providing passenger rail transport between Moscow rail terminals and Moscow airports. Belorussky station serves Aeroexpress trains, which are connecting Moscow center to Sheremetyevo International Airport (SVO). The railway communication to "Sheremetyevo Airport" station was opened from 2008. It has become one of the main links between Moscow and the airport. It is the most convenient way to get to the Sheremetyevo airport. Travel time is about 35 minutes between the railway station and the airport. The Aeroexpress runs every 30 minutes from 05:30 until 00:30. Trains run without stopping.

It is the best way to get from the station to the Kremlin and Red Square by metro. Use the Zamoskvoretskaya metro line (green line, line 2) to the station Teatralnaya. (Red square in Moscow.)

Sheremetyevo Airport can be reached by Aeroexpress or by bus from the metro stations Planernaya and Rechnoy Vokzal.

Domodedovo Airport can be reached by train from Paveletsky train station.

Vnukovo Airport can be reached by Aeroexpress train from Kievsky train station or by bus from the metro stations Yugo-Zapadnaya and Octyabrskaya.
