The metro station Alekseevskaya

The “Alekseevskaya” metro station in Moscow is located at a distance approximately 6 kilometers to north of the city center (Kremlin and Red Square). The station vestibule is located near the intersection of Prospect Mira street, Novoalekseevskaya street and Staroalekseevskaya street. Alekseevskaya metro station is located on Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya line of the Moscow Metro (line 6, the orange line) between stations "VDNKh" and "Rizhskaya".

The station was opened on 1 May 1958. Originally, the station was named "Prospekt Mira". October 26, 1966 the station was renamed to "Shcherbakovskaya". November 5, 1990 the station received its present name - Alekseevskaya.

The station has a ground entrance hall, located on Prospekt Mira street between buildings №112 and №114. The lobby is housed in a circular shape building (rotunda).
