Dinamo metro station in Moscow

“Dinamo” metro station in Moscow (станция метро Динамо) is located at a distance approximately 6 kilometers to north-west of the city center (Kremlin and Red Square), near the Leningradsky prospect street and Petrovsky Park. Dynamo stadium is located near the station. This explains the choice of the station name.

The station is located on Zamoskvoretskaya line of the Moscow Metro (line 3, green line) near the Leningradsky Prospekt street, between stations "Aeroport" and "Belorusskaya". The station was opened 11 September 1938. Scientific observations of the decay of uranium was conducted at the station at nights in 1940. During the Great Patriotic War the station "Dinamo" served as air-raid shelter.

It is planned to build a transition to station Petrovsky Park (the third interchange circuit), which is planned to open in 2016.

The station has two ground-based lobbies. Lobbies buildings are designed in antique style and are surrounded by a colonnade. Passengers can get to the Leningradsky Prospekt street and to the "Dynamo" stadium from the station. Dinamo metro station vestibules are located on the sides of Leningradsky Prospect, one at the intersection of Leningradsky Prospekt with Teatralnaya alley (next to the North Stand of the stadium "Dynamo"); another near the South Stand of the stadium "Dynamo". The distance between the vestibules is approximately 250 meters.
