The metro station Akademicheskaya in Moscow is located at the intersection of Dmitry Ulyanov and Profsoyuznaya, at a distance about 8 kilometers south-west of the city center (Kremlin and Red Square). The station is located of the Moscow metro Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya line (line 6, orange line), between the stations "Leninsky Prospekt" and "Profsoyuznaya".
The station was built in 1962. Station is located on 8.5 meters depth. The station does not have a ground lobby. Input and output are carried out through an underground passage beneath the junction of Dmitry Ulyanov and Profsoyuznaya streets. Passengers can get to the Ho Chi Minh square, Profsoyuznaya street, Dmitry Ulyanov Street and Avenue of the 60th anniversary of the October Revolution.
