The metro station "Novocherkasskaya" in Saint Petersburg

The metro station "Novocherkasskaya" in Saint Petersburg (станция метро Новочеркасская) is located on the right bank of the Neva River, near Zanevskaya square, at the intersection of Zanevsky Prospect and Novocherkassky Prospect streets. The distance to the city center (Nevsky Prospekt and Vosstaniya Square) is approximately 3 kilometers. Station "Novocherkasskaya" is located on the Pravoberezhnaya Saint Petersburg metro line (line 4, the orange line) between stations "Alexander Nevsky Square-2" and "Ladozhskaya".

The station was opened 30 December 1985. Initially, the station was known as "Krasnogvardeiskaya" (until 1 July 1992). The station hall is located at 61 meters depth.

The station has an underground vestibule, which is located under Zanevskaya square (near the intersection of Zanevsky and Novocherkassky streets). Entrance to the lobby is via an underground passage. The underground passage is a ring corridor, which is laid under the ground around the perimeter of the square. There are 12 intrances in the underground passage from the ground in different parts of the square.
