“Moskovskie Vorota” metro station in St. Petersburg (станция метро Московские Ворота) is located in the southern part of the city, on Moskovsky Prospect street, at the junction of Moscovsky Prospect and Ligovsky Prospekt streets. The station is located at a distance about 5.3 kilometers to south of the Palace Square. “Moskovskiye Vorota” metro station is located on Moscovsko-Petrogradskaya St. Petersburg metro line (Line 2, blue line) between stations "Frunzenskaya" and "Electrosila". The station was opened April 29, 1961.

The station ground lobby is located in the building number 103 on the Moscovsky Prospekt, on the “Moscovskiye Vorota” square. The station underground hall is located at a depth about 35 meters.

It is planned to build new metro station "Zastavskaya" on Krasnoselsko-Kalininskaya subway line and connect the two stations (Moscovskiye Vorota and Zastavskaya) by transitions.
