Metro Station “Preobrazhenskaya Ploschad” in Moscow (Станция метро Преображенская Площадь) is located in the northeastern part of the city, approximately 7.5 km from the city center (The Red Square). The MKAD (Moscow Ring Road) is located at a distance about 8 kilometers. “Preobrazhenskaya Ploschad” station is located near the “Preobrazhenskaya” square, at the intersection of streets Bolshaya Cherkizovskaja, Krasnobogatyrskaya, Preobrazhenskiy Val.

“Preobrazhenskaya Ploschad” station is located on the Sokolnicheskaya line of the Moscow Metro (line 1, red line) between stations "Cherkizovskaja" and "Sokolniki".

The station was opened on 31 December 1965. The village of Preobrazhenskoye was formerly located on this area (became part of Moscow in 1864). This explains square and station name choose.
