Metro Station “Preobrazhenskaya Ploschad” in Moscow (Станция метро Преображенская Площадь) is located in the northeastern part of the city, approximately 7.5 km from the city center (The Red Square). The station was opened on 31 December 1965. The village of Preobrazhenskoye was formerly located on this area (became part of Moscow in 1864). This explains square and station name choose.
