Metro station "Petrogradskaya" in St. Petersburg (станция метро Петроградская) is located in the central part of the city, at the intersection of streets Kamenoostrovsky prospect and "Bolshoi Prospect PS" (there is also Bolshoy Prospekt street on Vasilevsky Island). The station is located at a distance about 1.7 kilometers to north of the Peter and Paul Fortress. The distance to the Palace Square is about 3 km. The station "Petrogradskaya" is located on the Moskovsko-Petrogradskaya metro line (line 2, blue line) between stations "Gorkovskaya" and "Chornaya Rechka".
The station was opened on 1 July 1963. The station is located in the city district, which historically is known as the Petrogradskaya Storona. This explains the choice of the station name. Entrance to the station located in the building number 37 on Kamennoostrovsky Prospekt street.
