High-speed trains will ride between St. Petersburg and Vyborg

A new, high-speed train "Lastochka" will begin to run between St. Petersburg and Vyborg September 2 2015. The electric train will make two stops, at stations Udelnaya and Zelenogorsk. Travel time between Vyborg and St. Petersburg will be 1 hour 15 minutes. Tickets from Vyborg to Finland Station of St. Petersburg will cost 282 rubles. Currently, the most convenient form of public transport to move between Vyborg and St. Petersburg is a bus. Travel time while riding on the bus is about 2 hours. Buses to Vyborg depart from in the subway station Parnas. Electric train is a fast, secure and convenient alternative to the bus. According to the plans "Lastochka" train will make three flights on weekdays, four flights on weekends between Vyborg and St. Petersburg.

Trains "Lastochka" appeared in Russia in 2012. They were used for passengers transportation during the Olympic Games in Sochi. Currently, in the Krasnodar region, they continue to be used on routes of Sochi - Adler and Sochi - Krasnaya Polyana. They are also used in other Russian cities.
