Moscow Hermitage Garden

"Hermitage" Garden is a small park, located in the central part of Moscow. The length and width of the park is about 200 meters. The park is directly related to theatre.

It was decided to set up the theater in the area of in 1894. Creating a garden next to the future theater was started in 1895. The official opening of the garden took place June 18, 1895. The first performance in the "Hermitage" theater took place October 26, 1898. Since then, the theater and the park is closely linked to the performance arts. Since 1998 at summertime the Garden is a traditional venue for Moscow International Outdoor Jazz Festival – “Jazz at the Hermitage Garden”.

  • The "Hermitage" theater.
  • "Novaya Opera" theater.
  • "Sphere" theater.
  • "Hermitage" garden open platform.
  • You can skate here in winter.

Hermitage Garden is located at a distance approximately 2 kilometers northwest of the Kremlin and Red Square.
