There are enough beaches in the city of Malaga and in the immediate vicinity. It will not be a problem for tourists to find a beach near their place of residence.
The port divides the coast into two parts. Some of their beaches are located to the east of the port, some to the west.
Playa de la Malagueta
Playa de la Malagueta is the most popular city beach in Malaga. The beach is located in the city center, just east of the harbor. You can walk to the beach if you live in the central part of the city. On the beach and next to it there is everything necessary for recreation: toilets, showers, rent of umbrellas and sun loungers, a cafe, a children's playground. This beach is popular, both among tourists and local residents. At the height of the holiday season, there can be a lot of people on this beach.
The length of the beach is about 1200 meters, width is up to 45 meters.
Near the beach there are several hotels, for example: Gran Hotel Miramar Málaga (five stars), Hotel Soho Los Naranjos (four stars), Hotel Las Vegas (three stars).
Playa de la Caleta
Playa de la Caleta beach is located in the eastern part of the city of Malaga. La Playa de la Caleta is located between the beach of Playa de la Malagueta and the town of Baños del Carmen, parallel to Paseo Marítimo Pablo Ruiz Picasso. The length of the beach is about one kilometer.
Playa de San Andrés
Playa de San Andrés beach is located in the western part of the city, between the port and the beach of Playa de la Misericordia. The length of the beach is about 650 meters and the width is up to 50 meters. It is a very lively beach because it is located near the city center and the port. You can walk to the beach on foot from the city center.
Playa de la Misericordia
The beach of Playa de la Misericordia is located southwest of Playa de San Andrés beach and east of the mouth of the Guadalhorce river. The length of this beach is more than one kilometer. Not far from the beach is the Automobile Museum (Museo Automovilístico y de la Moda), Parque Del Oeste. It is believed that this beach is especially popular with young people.

Playa de Guadalmar
The beach of Playa de Guadalmar is located southwest of the mouth of the Guadalhorce River and east of San Julian Beach. This is one of the most popular beaches in the capital of Malaga, visited mostly by young people. The length of the beach is about 450 meters, width is up to 20 meters.
This beach has two features.
- On the beach, usually around the sand dunes, located closer to the mouth of the river, often sunbathe nudists.
- Airplanes fly over to the beach to airport the of Malaga city.

Playa del Campo de Golf
Beach Playa del Campo de Golf (Campo de Golf San Julián) is located about 9 kilometers southwest of the city center, slightly south of the airport and southwest of Playa de Guadalmar beach. The beach is equipped with everything you need: toilets, showers, rent of umbrellas and sun loungers, a cafe, a children's playground. The length of the beach is about 1900 meters, width is up to 50 meters.
