Hermitage. The Hermitage is the most famous museum in St. Petersburg. The museum is located on the main square of the city in the Winter Palace.

The Russian Museum. The Russian Museum has a large collection of Russian fine art. The museum’s collection is housed in several buildings: Mikhailovsky Palace, Stroganov Palace, Marble Palace, Mikhailovsky Castle. The museum is located in the city center, near Nevsky Prospekt.

Pushkin museum. The museum-apartment of the most famous poet of Russia is located on the ground floor of the former mansion of Princess Volkonskaya. Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin lived here since 1836. He died in this house in 1837.

Erarta Museum of Modern Art. This is the largest private museum of modern art in Russia. The museum regularly hosts exhibitions of works by contemporary artists.

Kunstkamera. The Peter the Great Museum of Anthropology and Ethnography (Kunstkamera) is one of the oldest museums in Russia. The museum is located on Vysilievsky Island, not far from the Palace Bridge. The museum can be conveniently accessed by a bridge from Palace Square.

Ethnography museum. The Russian Ethnographic Museum is located in the center of St. Petersburg, not far from Nevsky Prospekt (next to the building of the Russian Museum). There are many different nations in Russia. The Ethnographic Museum is dedicated to the culture and history of these peoples, as well as the culture and history of the peoples of neighboring countries.

Parks

There are many parks in St. Petersburg. We published information about only some of the parks in St. Petersburg on this page.

Park named after the 300th anniversary of St. Petersburg. The park is located in the northwestern part of the city, on the shores of the Baltic Sea. The park was founded in 1995. Peterland Shopping Center is nearby. From the park you can go to the Gazprom Arena stadium, Primorsky Victory Park on the pedestrian bridge. Lakhta Center skyscraper is located north of the park. The total area of the park is 54 hectares.

Moscovsky Victory Park. Moscovsky Victory Park is located in the southern part of the city, near Moscovsky Avenue. The park has several ponds and a small amusement park. The area of the park is 68 ha.

Primorsky Victory Park. The park is located in the western part of the city, on Krestovsky Island. In the park there is an amusement park Divo Ostrov. To the west of the park is a football stadium. Area: 168 hectares.
Nearest metro station: Krestovsky Ostrov.

Central Park of Culture and Rest named after S. M. Kirov (TsPKiO). The park is located on Yelagin Island, near the Seaside Victory Park. It was founded on August 5, 1932.

Aleksandrovsky Park. The park is located in the Petrograd district of St. Petersburg, not far from the Peter and Paul Fortress and the Zoo. Area -14.57 ha. The lobby of the Gorkovskaya metro station is in the park.

Aleksandrovsky Garden. Park "Alexander Garden" is located in the very center of the city, next to the Admiralty building, between Palace Square and St. Isaac's Cathedral. This is a popular place for walking among tourists and residents.

Suzdalsky lakes. Three lakes are located in the northern part of the city. Around the southern lake (Upper Suzdal Lake) is a recreation area.

Park Sosnovka. Sosnovka Park (Sosnovsky Forest Park) is one of the largest parks in the city. It is located in the northern part of St. Petersburg. The area of the park is 302 hectares. The boundaries of the park: Severny Avenue, Tikhoretsky Avenue, Svetlanovsky Avenue and Toreza Avenue.

Murinsky park. The park is located in the north of St. Petersburg. The Murinsky stream flows in the park and there is a pond. Near the shopping center "Rodeo Drive". The total area is 115.33 ha.

Udelny Park. The park is located in the northern part of St. Petersburg, near the Udelnaya metro station. This is a popular place for hiking and sports with residents of nearby houses. The park also houses the training base of the Zenit football club. Shopping center "City Mall" is located next to the park (southwest).

Concert halls and clubs

A2 Green Concert. This is one of the most popular concert venues in St. Petersburg, where contemporary artists perform.

Aurora Concert Hall. The concert hall is located near the cruiser Aurora and the St. Petersburg hotel. The hall seats up to 2000 people. Concerts of popular contemporary artists are held here.
Address: Pirogovskaya embankment, 5/2.

MOD CLUB. A nightclub and concert venue are located in the city center. The club has 2 halls, with a total capacity of up to 800 people.

Opera Concert Club. Opera Concert Club is a multifunctional concert hall where concerts, festivals, presentations, parties, corporate events are held. The club has 2 dance floors, 2 bars, a stage.

Concert Hall "Colosseum Arena". The concert hall was opened in August 2012 in the building of the former cinema. The hall is located in the city center on Nevsky Prospect.

"Cosmonaut" Club. The total capacity of the concert hall is up to 1,500 people. Many modern popular musicians performed at this club.

Club "ZAL" (Waiting Room). The concert hall is located on the territory of the Warsavsky Express shopping center. (Warsavsky Station was at this place earlier.) The total capacity of the hall is 1200 people.

Nearest underground station: Baltiyskaya.

Roof Place (Krysha). Roof Place is an open air concert venue. On the roof there is a canopy tent that cannot protect the audience from the weather completely (rain, wind). Dress up for the weather when you go to a concert at Roof Place.

Oktyabrsky Concert Hall (BKZ). The Big Concert Hall Oktyabrsky is one of the best concert halls in the city. The concert hall is located in the city center, not far from Nevsky Prospekt.
Address: Ligovsky Prospect, 6.
Nearest metro station: Ploshchad Vosstaniya, Mayakovskaya.

St. Petersburg Philharmonic. There are two concert halls in the Philharmonic Hall, where classical music concerts are held.
The Big Hall of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Hall seats up to 1,500 people. Address: St. Petersburg, Mikhailovskaya street, 2.
The Small Hall of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Hall seats up to 400 people. Address: St. Petersburg, Nevsky Prospect, 30.

Concert Hall "Next to the Finlandsky Station". The concert hall is located on the Neva Embankment, next to the Finlandsky train station.
The hall was opened in 1958. It was the first concert hall of the city of Leningrad. Performances of famous musicians took place in this hall.
