Aprile 14, 2024. Rimini Marathon. The «Riviera Marathon» will take place in Rimini on Saturday Aprile 13 and Sunday Aprile 14. April 21, 2024. Rome City Birthday Celebration or Natale di Roma. Italy’s capital celebrates the anniversary of its founding on April 21st every year. People gather outside the Pantheon to witness a light show. There will be also massive reenactments of the history of Rome, like the story of Romulus and Remus and famous battle scenes.

Late May (18-19) 2024. Vogalonga Regatta is a noncompetitive rowing "race", celebrating traditional Venetian boats. Only Venetian rowing boats are allowed to participate in the event. The route is laid along the canals and the most beautiful and picturesque places of the Venetian lagoon.

June 17 - 18, 2023. Firenze Rocks. Firenze Rocks is a music festival in Italy that takes place at the Visarno Arena in Florence.

June 8 - September 7, 2024. Opera Festival in Verona. Arena Opera Festival (Arena di Verona) is held in the city of Verona, in the ancient Roman amphitheater Arena di Verona. You can hear famous operas featuring famous singers, as well as ballet shows and classical music concerts. 45 evenings with 5 opera productions and 3 special events from 16th June to 9th September 2022.

July 12-21, 2024. Jazz festival in Perugia. Umbria Jazz Festival is held annually in the city of Perugia. This is the most important jazz event of the year in Italy. The festival will be held from July 10-19, in 2020.

June 29, 2024. The famous cycling race Tour de France will begin in Italy in 2024. The start will take place in Florence, on Piazzale Michelangelo. The route will pass through the regions of Tuscany, Emilia-Romagna and Piedmont. The finish of the race is planned in Nice. The Tour de France route has been changed due to the Olympic Games in 2024.

August 24, 2024. Notte della Taranta (Tarantula Night) is a folk music festival held in the Salento region (Puglia region) in southern Italy. The festival is dedicated to the folk dance of Pizzica (Italian: Pizzica). The main events of the festival are held in Melpignano.

 
September 1, 2024. Historical regatta in Venice - Regata Storica. The reconstruction of the historic regatta traditionally takes place on the first Sunday of September in Venice. This event attracts the attention of both tourists and local residents. The event is held in two stages: a historic boat parade with costumed crews along the Grand Canal and then a competitive regatta.

August 30 - September 1, 2024. Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix, which takes place at Autodromo Nazionale Monza. The Autodromo Nazionale di Monza is located near the city of Monza, north of Milan, in Italy (Lombardy).

October 9 - 16, 2024. Barcolana regatta. The traditional historical international sailing regatta Barcolana is held annually in the Gulf of Trieste on the second Sunday of October. With more than 2500 participants, this is one of the most popular sailing races in the world. Both professionals and amateurs participate in the race.
The city of Trieste is located in the north-east of Italy, in the region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia.
