According to existing plans, Greece will officially open to tourists on May 14, 2021. It is planned that entry will be allowed to travelers who have a certificate confirming that they have either been vaccinated against Covid-19, or have recovered from the coronavirus, or have a negative PCR test result.

The United States is an important inbound markets for many countries, in terms of the number of tourist arrivals and tourist spending. It is one of the markets that Greece is counting on this year. The United States is one of the countries with which Greece wants to sign an agreement to receive more tourists without restrictions (after the country officially opens for tourism next month).

Greece already has an agreement with Israel, according to which vaccinated Israelis enter Greece without quarantine. Negotiations are underway with Russia and Great Britain.

Traveling for Americans has recently become easier. According to new guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), US citizens who have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 do not need to be quarantined after domestic or international travel. All air passengers returning to the United States (including those who are fully vaccinated) must test negative for COVID-19.

(Subject to change.)

Prepare for your trip to Greece.
