US to lift Covid travel ban for vaccinated international travelers

Submitted by Visit Plus on Mon, 09/20/2021 - 22:26

The United States lifts a travel ban for all vaccinated foreign tourists in early November. Fully vaccinated travelers will be able to fly to the United States starting November 8, 2021. The Lifting of restrictions is due to the fact that vaccines continue to prove to be highly effective.

We will update the information shortly.

Fully vaccinated passengers from the UK and most European Union (EU) countries have the opportunity enter the United States via airports (by plane) now.
New travel rules will also go into effect for foreign nationals arriving by land or passenger ferry ( Mexico and Canada).

Passengers will be required to provide proof of full vaccination prior to boarding a flight to the United States. A COVID-19 test will also continue to be required within three days of departure and proof of negative results must be shown. A contact tracking system will also be developed. There will be some exceptions to the vaccination policy, for example for children.

Approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and World Health Organization vaccines will be accepted for air travel (most likely also for land travelers). (As of the end of October 2021, approved vaccines Moderna, Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer-BioNTech, Oxford-AstraZeneca / Covishield, Sinopharm, Sinovac. Check the latest information from official sources in advance.)

Travel lovers from many countries will be able to visit the USA. In addition to the UK and 26 Schengen countries in Europe, the relaxation of restrictions will also affect Ireland, China, Iran, Brazil, South Africa, India, and possibly other countries.

  • Take the PCR test and get your answer shortly before boarding the plane.
  • Take protective masks with you.

October 12 (2021) update:
The United States plans to ease travel restrictions for fully vaccinated visitors from Canada and Mexico starting in early November. It is planned to open land borders to fully vaccinated tourists. Similar plans for air travelers were announced earlier.
The new rules will be introduced in stages.
The first phase will allow fully vaccinated visitors traveling for non-essential reasons (such as tourism) to cross US land borders starting in early November.
Changes to plans are possible.
