The sculpture "Fishermen" was donated to the city of Petrozavodsk in 1991. The sculpture was donated by the city of Duluth, which is a sister city of Petrozavodsk. The author of this work is the sculptor Rafael Consuegra.

It was a good idea to donate sculptures. After that, the cities of Tübingen (Germany), Umeå (Sweden), Varkaus (Finland), La Rochelle (France), Neubrandenburg (Germany), Mo i Ran (Norway), Joensuu (Finland) made gifts to Petrozavodsk.

The sculpture "Fishermen" is located in the most beautiful place in Petrozavodsk, on the embankment of Lake Onega. There you will also find other sculptures donated to the city.

Rafael Consuegra (September 16, 1942 – September 17, 2021) was a Cuban-born American sculptor.

Duluth is a port city in the US state of Minnesota, located on Lake Superior.

Petrozavodsk is a city in northwestern Russia, on the shores of Lake Onega, the capital of the Republic of Karelia.
