The city of Liverpool is the venue for Europe's most popular song contest, the Eurovision Song Contest 2023. This will surely attract many tourists to the city. If you are looking for travel ideas, maybe you should visit Liverpool this year too?

Must see in Liverpool

Tate Liverpool. It is an art gallery and museum in Liverpool. It was the largest gallery of modern and contemporary art in the UK outside London.

The Royal Albert Dock. It is a scenic renovated area, major tourist attraction in the city and the most visited multi-use attraction in the United Kingdom, outside London.

St George's Hall. The building is an example of neoclassical architecture and (perhaps) one of the most famous tourist attractions in Liverpool.

Chinatown. Liverpool Chinatown is a home to the oldest Chinese community in Europe. Chinatown is also notable for its Chinese-style architecture. Walk down the Nelson Street and see the largest, multiple-span arch of its kind outside China.

The Mersey Ferry. It is a must to see what Liverpool looks like from the sea. You haven’t truly explored Liverpool until you’ve travelled across the famous river that is the River Mersey.

The Beatles Story museum. It would be unreasonable to visit Liverpool and not visit the museum dedicated to the Beatles. It is located on the historical Royal Albert Dock.

Liverpool Beatles Museum. This is another The Beatles museum, formerly known as Magical Beatles Museum. It is dedicated to the Beatles located in 23 Mathew Street, Liverpool.

Liverpool Cathedral. This is an impressive building. We're not sure if you'll like it, but come and see. The great organ of the cathedral is the largest in the United Kingdom.

The Pier Head. Pier Head is one of the most iconic waterfront area's in the United Kingdom and the heart and soul of Liverpool. Come to see the famous "The Three Graces", Liver Building, Statues of the Fab Four.

How to get to

You can get to Liverpool from London by different modes of transport: by bus, by plane, by rail.

Distance between London and Liverpool is about 288 kilometers (180 miles).

The train is the best mode of transport to get to Liverpool. The train is the most convenient and fastest way to get to Liverpool. Travel time by train will be approximately 2 hours 15 minutes.

Airplane is the fastest mode of transport, but you will have to spend extra time to get to the airport. Liverpool John Lennon Airport is located 6.5 nautical miles (12.0 km; 7.5 mi) south-east of Liverpool city centre. The airport provides direct air links between Liverpool and the whole of the UK and many European countries.
