Metro Station Frunzenskaya in Moscow

Metro Station "Frunzenskaya" in Moscow is located at the intersection of Komsomolsky Prospekt and the Holzunova alley. The station is located southwest of the city center, at a distance about 4 kilometers from the Kremlin and Red Square.
The metro station Frunze is located on Sokolnicheskaya Moscow subway line (Line 1, denoted by red), between stations "Park Kultury" and "Sportivnaya".

Station was opened May 1, 1957. There are located Frunzenskaya Embankment and three Frunzenskaya streets near the station. This explains the choice of the station name. (Mikhail Frunze was a revolutionary leader and commander of the Red Army.)
The station is located in Moscow's Khamovniki district. The station project name of was also "Khamovniki".

The station has a ground entrance hall with access to the Komsomol prospectus and Holzunova lane.
